Gastonia – Ronnie Lee Beaver, 68 went home to be with his Lord and Savior November 26th at Harris Hospice at Presbyterian.
He was born in Mecklenburg County on October 25, 1948 to the late Wilford and Helen Bell Beaver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry and sister, Marilyn Ann.
Ronnie was a veteran of the US Army he served during Vietnam. He was an active member of Fraley Memorial Baptist Church. Ronnie was a loving and compassionate man who humbly served his fellow man and community quietly doing God's work. He was faithful to check on and visit shut-ins within the community, often visiting Brian Center families with Little Debbie snacks. Ronnie enjoyed trout fishing and being outside observing God's beautiful creation.
Left to cherish his memories includes his loving daughter Crystal Serrett and husband Billie; grandson, Collin Serrett; brothers, Roy Beaver (Linda), Sammy Beaver (Faye), Tony Beaver and Clyde "Killer" Beaver; sisters, Judy Yates, Sheba Spurling (David) and numerous nieces and nephews
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
A Celebration of life Service will be held 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30th at Fraley Memorial Baptist Church, 3025 Fraley Church Road, Gastonia, NC with the Reverend Dr. Warner Doles and Reverend Charles Keller officiating.
Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 1:00 p.m., Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, 15 Friendship Church Road, Murphy, North Carolina
