Dallas – Ron E. Bess, 60, passed away January 28, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Stone Mountain, GA on December 30, 1954 to the late Buck and Judy McKeown Bess.
Ron battled cancer for over a year, but at 12:38 am Wednesday he won his battle.
He was self employed in construction work all his life. Ron was a very loving and kind man that left his mark on everyone he met. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and loved building things with his grandchildren. Ron enjoyed riding motorcycles and he enjoyed life!!
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Danny Bess.
Survivors include his loving daughters Taffi Jo Bess Revels and husband Jim of York, S.C.; Staci Jimison of Dallas; his grandchildren, Zachary, Zayden, Zayne, Kylie and Adelyn. Sisters Faye Moose and Donna Jenkins and a brother Michael Bess; Several nieces and nephews
Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 31st at 4:00 pm at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia, NC with Reverend Fred Morrison officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church, Dallas
