Dallas- William Roger Cloninger, 69 passed away peacefully on April 22, 2014 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

He was a native of Gaston County, born on April 23, 1944 to the late Floyd and Johnnie Brown Cloninger.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 42 years, Barbara Pasour Cloninger who died February 7, 2012 and a sister Vickey Stamey
Roger was a member of Antioch Lutheran Chuch, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had worked at Wix Corp, Acme, Cloninger Auto Supply before retiring from Freightliner.

Survivors include his children, Nicole Cloninger and Mike Walker; and Shannon and husband Kevin Ronan all of Dallas; Andy Pasour of Kings Mt., Carl Pasour of Dallas, NC;

Grandchildren Siera Cygan, Cameron Roberts, Kail and Morgan Ronan;
great grandchildren Aleigha Letterman, Emma Beth Roberts and Summer Spencer;

Brother, Yates Cloninger and wife Sue of Bessemer City,
Sister, Emily Ware and husband Charles of Kings Mt.,
Brothers, Chuck Cloninger, Clifford Cloninger and wife Robin, David Cloninger, Aaron Cloninger and wife Susan and Danny Cloninger;
Sister, Kay Ferguson and husband Richard; and his girlfriend Sharon Whisnant of Denver

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at Antioch Lutheran Church, 330 Old NC 277 Loop Road, Dallas, North Carolina

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, April 25th at Antioch Lutheran Church, 330 Old NC 277 Loop Road, Dallas, North Carolina with Pastor George Rhyne officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery with Military Honors by The Gaston County Honor Guard
