Rodney Lee Poff

Rodney Lee Poff, a devoted father and grandfather, passed peacefully on January 13, 2025, in Statesville, North Carolina, at the age of 77. Born on April 23, 1947, in Pasadena, California, Rodney left a profound mark on the lives he touched through his fun-loving personality and dedicated spirit.

Rodney pursued a successful career in retail management, retiring from Cloth World where his leadership and commitment to excellence were well recognized. Following his retirement, he devoted his time to passions that included playing cards, fishing, and enjoying music. An enthusiastic lover of the outdoors, he found particular joy in driving his prized convertible Mustang.

Rodney was a proud father to two daughters, Tamara "Tami" Dameron and her husband Dwaine, as well as Angela Poff Salazar and her husband Jonathan. He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to Caitlin and Brianne Dameron, as well as step-grandchildren Alayna and Lukas Salazar. The family was an integral part of his life, bringing him immeasurable joy and laughter.

He is also survived by his sister Christine Gaines and her husband Ronald, alongside a loving extended family that includes nieces and nephews, Richard West and wife Cathy, and Meagan Wilson with her husband Troy, a special uncle, Edie Poff and his wife Marilyn, as well as several great nieces, nephews, and cousins who cherished their time with him.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Ogden Poff and Margaret June Kuhne Poff, whose legacy of love and support undoubtedly shaped the man he became.

Rodney Lee Poff will be remembered not only for his dedication to his family but also for his spirited personality and zest for life. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
