Robert Eugene Owens

Dallas-Robert Eugene Owens, Sr. 77 of 1120 Lower Dallas Hwy. went to his Heavenly Home August 15, 2013 at CMC-Main.
He was a native of Gaston County, born May 16, 1936 to the late Clyde Victor and Pauline Edwards Owens.
Robert was a loving and wonderful husband, father, stepfather and grandfather. He loved the Lord and enjoyed his church, his wonderful friends and he loved to fish.
Robert was a easy beautiful person that loved his family.
He attended Independent Baptist Tabernacle Church, which he loved dearly.

Survivors include his wife of over 30 years, Frances Heavener Owens;
his children Robert Eugene Owens, Jr and wife Mona of Jacksonville, Fl; Denise Owens Swink and husband Steven of Bessemer City; Angela Owens Holder and husband James of Gastonia; step children, Robert Wayne "Robb" Huddleston and Connie Colleen Huddleston
Five grandchildren, Anderson Owens Holder, James-Robert Wade Holder, Brandon Robert Owens, Heather Wilson Pagan and Christi Wilson Greer; Eight great grandchildren; one sister, Vicky Owens Conner and husband Bobby.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00pm prior to the service at the church.
Celebration of life service will be 2:00pm Monday, August 19th at the Independent Baptist Tabernacle Church with Reverend Ralph Carver officiating.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Hope I section with the Releasing of the Doves
Pallbearers will be Anderson Owens Holder, James-Robert Wade Holder, Brandon Robert Owens; Robert Eugene Owens, Jr., Robert Wayne Huddleston and James Holder
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Payne, Harry Andrews, Paul Melton, Bobby Conner and Jay Jones
