Lawndale – Robert Coy Johnson, 52, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.

Robert was born in Gaston County on April 29, 1961 to James Stewart and the late Wilma Johnson Stewart.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Marianne Johnson.
Sons Joseph Johnson of Lawndale, NC, Dustin Johnson and Steven Johnson of Gastonia.
Grandchildren, Megan Johnson and Abigail Johnson
Brothers, Jimmy Stewart and Gary Hensley
Sister, Christine Goodson; Visitation will be Friday, March 14, 2014 from 6-8:00 pm at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home and the Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Roger Overton officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Gardens Cemetery with the Releasing of the Doves.
