He was born December 11, 1953 to the late William Henry "Bill" Gunter and Martha Rawlings Gunter.
He was a member of First Wesleyan Church. Benny was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Deborah Falls Gunter; two sons Adam Bennett Gunter and William Chase Gunter; a brother Gary Douglas Gunter and wife Sara and his son Chad Gunter; mother-in-law Betty Hudson Falls, and father-in-law Bill Falls;
Uncles, Dan Gunter and wife Dede, George Gunter, Charles Murphy and Robert D Rawlings; Aunts, Roberta Gunter and Grace Murphy Smith,
Brother-in-law Fred Falls and wife Karen and their children Kaley and Madison, Eddie Falls and companion Rex Cameron, Flub Falls, Beverly Woodall and husband Don, and their children Owen Woodall, Donnie Woodall and fiancé Brittany Hutchinson and their son Mason; Lori Griffing and husband Bill and their twins Ava and Austin;

The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00pm, Saturday, December 28th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and other times at Betty Falls, 1217 Carpenter Springs Drive, Dallas
