Bob Clemmer

Dallas – Robert Keith “Bob” Clemmer, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2022 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Gaston County on April 1, 1928 to the late Rupert and Jessie White Clemmer.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Betty Lineberger Clemmer and a daughter, Deborah Clemmer Angus; his siblings, Harry “Bo” Clemmer, Rupert Lamar “Demp” Clemmer, Thomas “Sam” Clemmer, James “Ray” Clemmer, Eric Clemmer, and Mary Knox Clemmer.

Bob was a member of Long Creek Baptist Church. He retired from Ticaro at the age of 74 years old and later went to work at Wix Corp. as a security guard and retired there at age 84. He was also a self-employed brick mason. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Bob enjoyed hunting with his good friend, Brady, Ed and Steve. He also served as Fire Chief for Ag Center Fire Department.

Survivors include his sons, Tim (Carol) Clemmer, Gary (Susan) Clemmer; 6 grandchildren, Brooke Voyles (Ben), Matthew Clemmer (Feliza) Travis Pervine, Carey Pervine, Hannah Clemmer, Erin Ghim (Michael); and 9 great grandchildren; Brittany, Jackson, Paxton, Cora, Lainee (Jake), Gaige, and Sam; and 1 great-great grandson, Colton.

A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church, 210 Long Creek Church Road, Dallas, NC with Reverend Charles Ledford officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m., until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Rick Carpenter, John Lineberger, Jeff White, Travis Pervine, Matthew Clemmer, and Darrell Best. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be, Brady Ratchford, Steve Cloninger, and Mervin Cloninger.
