Lowell – Robert W. Aldridge, 65, went Home to be with the Lord on October 29, 2015 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Gaston County, NC on January 17, 1950 to the late Clarence Sr, and Ruth Johnson Aldridge.
Robert was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed greatly! He retired from Pharr Yarns after 32 years of dedicated service. Robert enjoyed Hamm Radio and his C.B. Radio "Snake Eyes" as most knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Chelsea Gibson and brother, Jake Aldridge
Left to cherish his memories includes his wife Melva Fulbright Aldridge; sons, Greg Aldridge (Vanessa) of Bessemer City; Bobby Lee Aldridge (Trena) of Iron Station and Jody Aldridge of Gastonia
daughter, Jennifer Carpenter (Gary) of Dallas
brothers, Clarence Aldridge, Jr., (Brenda) of Belmont and Steve Aldridge (Brenda) of Mt. Holly
sister, Diane Carlisle (Danny) of Belmont
grandchildren; Adam, Austin, Jessica, Brooke, Taylor, Tess and Emily
great grandchildren; Caylee, Sophia and Kylie
A Celebration of life service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, October 31st at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Dr. Tony Fulbright and Reverend Clarence Aldridge officiating
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park,
