Dallas – Rita Carol Smith Guffie, 57, passed away on September 13, 2020 at her residence.
She was born in Gaston County, NC on June 6, 1963 to the late Paul and Carolyn Mitchell Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Smith.
Rita worked for Wix Corporation for almost 20 years. She enjoyed serving as an volunteer for Dallas Rescue Squad. Rita was a loving mother and friend who will be greatly missed!
Survivors include her son, Logan Guffie; her daughter, Amanda Axe and husband
Brendon and expected first grandson.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
A private burial will be At Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made for her funeral expenses.
