Ricky Maxwell Thomas

Ricky Maxwell Thomas, 71, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024 with his loving family by his side. 

He was born in Union County, North Carolina, on November 18, 1953 to the late T.C. Thomas, Jr. and Roxie Helms Thomas. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years, Cathy Todd Thomas; and sister, Martha Ervin. 

Ricky was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching old westerns and going to the beach. He loved spending time with his dog, Rocko. Ricky leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Henry; brother, David Thomas (Pam); 3 grandchildren; nieces, Wendi Taylor (Terry) and Aimee Howard (Eric); nephews, David Watkins (Sharon), Tony Watkins (Crystal), Jared Thomas (Lindsay); and his special friend, Dawn Carrigan. 

Family and friends will gather for a memorial service at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Pastor Junior Morris officiating.
