Rickie Van Haney, 47, 212 Salemview Road, Gastonia left this world to gain and celebrate the riches of heaven on October 14, 2009.
Rickie was a native of Gaston County, son of Dorothy Inez Kirby and the late Edward Billy Haney, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his father, his step-father, Fred Kirby, a brother, Edward Billy Haney, Jr., maternal grandmother Hazel Brymer, grandfather, Fred England.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years Sandy Mitchem Haney
Sons and daughter -in- laws Justin Haney of the home, Ricky and Jeannie Haney, Jason Haney and companion Amanda Snider, brother and sister-in-law Donald and Sheri Kirby, all of Gastonia, sisters Diane Thomas also of Gastonia and Crystal Ferguson of Lowell, sister and brother- in-laws Angel and Johnny Brooks of Bessemer City, Amanda and Larry Woods of Dallas, Three Grandchildren, Breanna Clemmer of Clover SC, Brandon and Brittany Haney of Gastonia, numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel.
The Family will receive friends 1 hr prior to the service.
