Gastonia – Richard "Rick" Winters, 68, passed away on July 26, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.
He was born on October 12, 1945 in Durham County, North Carolina to the late John C. and Marie Wright Winters.
Richard worked many years in Automobile Dealership Management. His greatest joy was time spent with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Ellen Young Winters, Daughter, Tracy McKay and husband Dan; Grandchildren, Dylan and Caroline McKay; Sister, Brenda Tewell; Brothers, John Winters, Jr., and Dan Winters; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia, NC
Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with the Dr. Ned Buckner officiating.
Interment will be private.
