Richard Allen Dixon, 57, entered into Heaven on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side. Richard was born in Gaston County and is the son of Carol Trantham Dixon and the late Rev. Ted Dixon.
Richard worked for Carver Metal Company for several years. He was a member of Lowell Free Will Baptist Church. He loved to fish, go to car races, loved all sports. He loved music, play his bass guitar and sing. He will be missed by so many.
Richard leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Carol Trantham Dixon of Clover; two sons, Richard Lee Dixon, Nathan Dixon; one sister, Karen Moore and husband Richard of Clover; two grandchildren.
The family will receive family and friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Bethel House of Prayer, 951 Riddle Mill Road, Clover, S.C. with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Gary Conrad officiating.
Interment will follow at Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gastonia
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Ted Dixon.
