Gastonia – Richard Clayton "Dick" Deneseus, 78 passed away on March 1, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 21, 1939 to the late Henry Clayton Deneseus and Marie Catherine Linden Deneseus.
He served as a fireman and paramedic and later served as Captain of the volunteer fire and rescue in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Dick retired in telecommunications from Ameritech. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Left to cherish his memories includes children, Richard, Jr (Vicky) Deneseus, Rodney Deneseus, Andrea (Larry) Shurtz, Devon (McKenzie) Cook.
Companion, Star Day; grandchildren Richard Deneseus, III, Chelsea Deneseus, Daniel Deneseus, Carson Shurtz and Parker Shurtz; great grandchildren, Olivia and Vivian; brother Robert (Sue) Deneseus, several nieces and nephews
