Reggie Kelly Hayes

Dallas- Reginald “Reggie” Kelly Hayes, 77, went on to be with the Lord on October 25, 2022 at the Robin Johnson house with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Gaston County, on September 6, 1945 to the late J.M. Hayes and Pearl Penley Hayes.

Reggie retired from PSNC with over 36 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Flint Groves Baptist Church, where he was active as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and served as a R.A. leader. Reggie also served in the Lions Club. He was a devoted family member and enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Rachel Green Hayes; his sons, Jeff Hayes and wife Kelly, Tim Hayes and wife Monica; his wonderful grandchildren, Shelby, Sarah Grace, Walker, Claire and Mason; his brother Johnny Hayes and his children, Randy and Tonya, and several other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m., prior to the service.

Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29 at Flint Groves Baptist Church with Pastor Ronnie Bowers and Pastor Bruce Fenters  officiating.

Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Four Seasons section.

Pallbearers will be Mark Rouse, Steve Leonard, Dell Cline, Eric Newton, Chris Brooks and Jim Shaw.
