Gastonia – Raymond Walter "Gooner" Bishop, 72, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2015 at Alexandria Place.
He was born in Greenville, SC on September 25, 1942 to the late Raymond and Dorothy McGaha Bishop
Mr. Bishop retired from Duke Power as an Electrical Supervisor with (30) years of service
And served in the US Army Reserves with 27 years of service He was a Shriner with the Hejaz Shriners Temple, Greenville, SC
Survivors include his loving wife Elaine Ross Bishop;
son, Bradley Bishop and wife Kim of Dallas, NC,
grandson, Aaron Bishop and granddaughter, Brianna Krawczyk (Paul);
great grandson, Oliver; sister, Ann Lindsey (Bill) of Greenville, SC
The family will have a Private Memorial Service Wednesday, February 11th at his residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the Nurses and staff at Alexandria Place for their loving care of Mr. Bishop.
