Hickory – Raymond Charles Walker, 71, died unexpectedly November 5, 2016 at Conover Nursing Home and Rehab Center.
He was the owner of R&W Carp Juice in Lincolnton, NC.
He was a life-long lover of the sport of fishing. He loved taking fishing trips all over with his son, nephew and brother. He was loved by so many. You never saw him without a smile on his face and a joke to tell. When you were around him you laughed more than you could talk.
He was the most loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Lester C. and Edna M. Walker, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors are wife of 34 years Wilma Lee Walker, daughter Teresa D. Walker, son Marc L. Walker and granddaughter Jessica Cathey. Step-sons Byron, Tommy, Timmy and Jason Engle, step-grandson, Alex Engle.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10th at Ranlo Baptist Church, 1517 Spencer Mountain Road, Gastonia, NC 28054 followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. Please come dressed as you would sitting with Raymond in his shop telling a joke to one another.
