Mr. Randall Ray Lovingood, 62, of Dallas, died June 27, 2009 at his residence. He was a native of Murphy, NC

Randall was the first graduating class of Hunter Huss High School in 1965 where he received Perfect Attendance Award for 12 yrs of perfect attendance. He received a Business Administration degree from Gaston College and a degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering. While serving in the U. S. Army Quartermaster School he received two diplomas; Stock Control and Accounting, Mechanized Stock Control. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving May 10, 1968 - May 1, 1974. He served in the Vietnam War from 1968-1969.

He attended Lowell Free Will Baptist church.

Randall and his wife, Sherry was the owner and operator of Lovingood Tax Service for over 35 years.

Randall was a Loving and faithful husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Sherry Hargrave Lovingood.

Children: Melissa Lovingood Graham and husband Reggie of Dallas;

Greg Pearson and wife Beth of Gastonia; and Jeff Pearson of Dallas

Seven Grandchildren: Seth Lovingood, Madison Graham, Patience Pearson, Rollin Jenkins, Rhett Jenkins, Allyssa Pearson and Kendall Pearson

Several nieces and nephews

Family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 Sunday at the funeral home

Funeral service will be 11:00 Monday, June 29, 2009 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Timothy Hargrave and Rev. Marshall Parker

Entombment will follow at Westview Gardens

Pallbearers will be Michael Hargrave, Bryan Hargrave, John Alexander, Jack Ball, Kin Puckett and Zachary Hargrave
