Bessemer City-Ramona Hovis Bridges, 64 of 165 Rutledge Drive, Eutawville, SC formerly of Bessemer City passed away suddenly on December 27, 2013.
She was a native of Gaston County, NC, born October 4, 1949 to Helen Ray Hovis and the late Jack L. Hovis.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all.. Ramona worked at Wix Filters for over 17 years and was the owner and operator of Mona Jane's Restaurant in Myrtle Beach, SC. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her son Alan Bridges and wife Lauren;
her daughters, Lori Bridges and husband Scott Norwood, Dana Finney and husband Lee;
her fiancé Walt Cordina; her mother Helen Ray Hovis;
Grandchildren Molly Bridges, Jessica and Matthew Norwood, Charles Swink, Danielle, Ashley and Heather Swink;
Great grandchildren Brooke, Savannah, Charlie and Bayleigh; Brothers Jack Hovis and Mike Hovis; Sisters Pat Davis and Kay Shick
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service
Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 31st Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend James Chambers officiating
Burial will follow at the Bessemer City Cemetery
