Lake Wylie, SC - Ralph Edwin Parker, Sr., 82, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 16, 2018. He was born in Gastonia and was the son of the late Otis and Odelle Schronce Parker.
He was a self employed carpenter. He leaves many friends from Four Lane Bar, Clover, where he was co-owner and loved being there. His passion was fishing and hunting. He will be missed.
Mr. Parker graduated from Gastonia High School.
Mr. Parker is survived by his son, Ralph (Eddie) Parker, Jr. and wife Lisa of Gastonia; daughter, Kim Spencer and husband Randall of Virginia; two sisters, Sarah Derreberry and husband Terry, Peggy Kirk and husband James of Gastonia; 5 grandchildren, Kayla Spencer, Dylan Spencer, Christopher Goff, Melissa Parker, Ava Parker; 2 great grandchildren, Cailey Griffie, Jakob Griffie; his many friends from Four Lane Bar.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.
Inurnment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Loretta Harrell Parker; 2nd wife, Linda Reeves Parker; son, Jackie Parker; two brothers, Paul Junior Parker, Clyde Parker.
