Ralph Ervin Lewis

Gastonia-Ralph Ervin Lewis, 81, went home to be with the Lord December 17, 2016 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Burley Weaver Lewis and Winnie Clemmer Lewis, his loving wife of 57 years, Polly Lewis, great grandson Dakota, brother and sisters, Ray, Isabelle and Launa.
He retired from Gaston County School System after 30 years of service and also worked as a builder for over 40 years. He was a charter member of the Gaston County Home Builders Association and had served as president. Ralph was a member of Lutheran Chapel Church for over 65 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Ralph enjoyed spending time with family.
Ralph is survived by daughters, Diana Collins (Ted) and Paula Lewis; grandchildren, Tricia Allison, Tara Collins, Garrett Lewis; great grandchildren
Brittany, Dylan, Jacob, Morgan and Skylar; and one great great granddaughter Scarlett Justice; one sister Mildred Hoffman

The visitation will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center at Lutheran Chapel Church, 702 N. New Hope Road., Gastonia
A Celebration of Life service will be 3:00pm, Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Lutheran Chapel Church with Reverend Michael Comer officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the releasing of the doves
