Dallas- Rachel Pauline Clemmer Ledford, 85, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted friend, died Sunday, October 21, 2012.
Rachel, born March 23, 1927, was a life-long resident of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Earl and Mary Oates Clemmer.
Rachel was a long-time, active member of Dallas Baptist Church where she served in the Care Ministry. She was well-known for her gentle and loving spirit and touched many lives with her homemade pies and personalized cards. She spent many hours in front of her old typewriter sending out love and well wishes to her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband of more than 65 years, Bill Ledford;
her son, Bryan Ledford; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Dan Philippi; grandsons Lamar Ledford, Adam Ledford, wife Carrie, and granddaughter Amber Moon and husband Ronnie;
and great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Noah Ledford;
and sister Linda Brackett; and her many extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:30am Tuesday, October 23 in the Dallas Baptist Church parlor.
The funeral service will be held at 11:30am in the church sanctuary with Reverend Bill Abrams and Reverend Baron Lee officiating.
Interment will follow at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Dallas.
