Gastonia - Phyllis Elaine Winstead Carroll 49, passed away April 8, 2013 at Caromont Regional Medical Center Gastonia.
She was a native of Gaston County, NC., born October 19, 1963 to the late Neville E. and Edna Messer Winstead. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Davis, Michael and Jackie Winstead.
Survivors include husband of 28 years Stephen Carroll, sons Heath Carroll, Justin Carroll, and Corey Carroll, daughter Megan Barkley and husband Garrett, sister Linda Moyers and grandchild Kaylee Barkley.
Funeral service will be held 3:30 pm Saturday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Andy Black officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Armstrong Cemetery.
