Charlotte- Phu Vinh Tran, 87 passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.
He was born in Cambodia on August 30, 1926 to the late Sanh Van Tran and Thanh Nguyen.
He served in the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel and was a Prisoner of War for ten years before coming to the United States.
Survivors include his children, 6 sons, 4 daughters and 5 sisters; 25 grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren.
Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Vietnamese Catholic Church, 4929 Sandy Porter Road, Charlotte, NC 28273. Interment will follow at Crown Memorial Park, Charlotte, NC
