LINCOLNTON - Peter Mark Vollmer, 39, died Oct. 23, 2009.
He was a native of Sparta, N.C., son of Denny Vollmer and the late Dolores Cassanova Vollmer.
Peter was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a maintenance technician with Cataler North America, and a member of the Laurel Wood Ministries.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Julia Lineberger Vollmer; two sons, Dustin Lee Vollmer and Mark Adrian Vollmer of the home; a daughter, Juliana "Boo" Vollmer of the home; father, Denny Vollmer of Gastonia; brothers, Joey Vollmer and wife Susan of Spartanburg, S.C., Matthew Vollmer and wife Laurie of Virginia Beach, Va.; sisters, Maria Thomas and husband Eddie of Nashville, N.C., Anne Baucom and husband Kent of Gastonia; numerous nieces and nephews; father and mother-in-law, Lee and Connie Lineberger of Gastonia; and brother-in-law, Joel Lineberger and wife Christy of Gastonia.
Funeral service will be at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carroll Henderson officiating.
Family will receive friends 3-4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Sandy Plains Baptist Church Cemetery, Gastonia with Military Honors by the U.S. Navy.
