Dallas – Peggy Ann Lewis Willis, 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2023 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Gaston County on October 5, 1950 to Graziella Pratellesi Lewis and the late Raymond Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Danny Lewis.
Peggy was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was an avid shopper always looking for a great deal. She also enjoyed working in crafts shops with her mama and sister. She retired from Wix Filters with over 25 dedicated years of service. Peggy was a huge family person, she enjoyed her time with her family especially her mama, her grandchildren and her new great grandchild, Harper.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 38 years, James “Jimmy” W. Willis, Sr.; her children, James “Jamie” W. Willis, Jr., Stephanie Hamilton Gee and husband Kevin; her wonderful grandchildren, Hayleigh Laws and husband Ethan, Devan and Ethan Costner; great grandchild, Harper Laws; sister, Bobbie Mikeal and husband Norris, brother, Ronnie Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel with Pastor Brian Bradshaw officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Prayer section.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Laws, Ethan Costner, Kevin Gee, Ronnie Lewis, Chad and Dallas Bradshaw.
