Peggy Jean Smith

Gastonia – Peggy Jean Williams Smith, 78, passed away Saturday November 9, 2013 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was a former residence of DePaul Heath House of Lincolnton and of Peak Resources of Gastonia. She was a native of Gaston Co., born January 27, 1935 to the late Sam and Lela Mae Jackson Williams.
Peggy was preceded in death by her son Christopher Lee Smith.
She was employed with Rex #2 for fifteen years and Automatic Transmission Shop for five years and she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter Lynn Spurling and her husband Harold; grandchildren Dusty and Amanda Spurling; great grandchildren Dustin, Madison and Lyndsey Spurling and many cousins of Lancaster, SC.
Visitation will be Thursday November 21, 2013 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be at Hollywood Cemetery
