Gastonia –Paulette Poole Phillips, 71 went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2017 at the CaroMont Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Gaston County on April 21, 1946 to the late Jesse James and Margie Freeman Poole. Paulette retired from Pharr Yarns with over 34 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Douglas Poole.
She also enjoyed spending time at the beach and Harrah's Casino in Cherokee. She also enjoyed playing bingo, making cakes for everyone's birthdays, and dressing up as a witch at Halloween and scaring the children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed!
Left to cherish her memories includes her loving husband of 41 years, Ronnie Phillips; her children, Kimberly Helton Hooper (Mike Barnes), Kevin Lamar Helton, Jennifer Leah Phillips; grandchildren, Richard Hooper, Brittney Helton, Jessica Hooper; great granddaughter, Shayla Leach; sisters, Beverly Poole Pendleton (John), Anne Poole Pressley (Jack); and a special dear friend, Sue Kane
The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 6 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home prior to the graveside service to follow at 3:00 p.m., at Hollywood Cemetery with Rev. Norman Greene officiating with the releasing of the doves.
Pallbearers will be Scott Ellis, Wayne Stafford, Phillip Reep and Eric Reep
