Patsy Rabb Smith

Gastonia-Patsy Rabb Smith, 76 of 1735 Old West Lane, Gastonia
went home to be with her Lord and Savior December 16, 2012 at the Robin Johnson House.
She was a native of Gaston County, born July 28, 1936 to the late Harold and Alberta Kelly Rabb.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. Patsy was a member of Victory Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and played the piano for over 40 years. She was a retired school teacher from Gaston County School for over 20 years.

Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Jerry Max Smith, Sr;
her sons, Jerry Max Smith, Jr and wife Blair Styers Smith;
Timothy Morrison Smith and wife Michelle Johnson Smith;
Daughter, Jeanne Smith Abernathy and husband Todd Abernathy;
Grandchildren, Kaitlyn Smith, Kirklin Smith, Autumn Abernathy,
Erin Abernathy, step-daughter Autumn Abernathy, Zion Smith and Sylas Smith; and a sister Ellen Rabb Huffstetler.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, at the funeral home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday,
December 19, at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Walker officiating
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery with the Releasing of the Doves.
