Dallas – Patsy Wall Huggins, 83 passed away peacefully on August 25, 2018 at the Robin Johnson House surrounded by her family.
She was born in Spartanburg, SC on February 6, 1935 to the late Ernest and Azamee Hord Wall. In her addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Everett Greenlee, who died in 1964; brother, Dewey Wall, sisters, JoAnn Costner, Evermee Wright and Juanita Lankford.
Patsy was a graduate of Gardner Webb. She was a member of Dallas Baptist Church and had served many years as interpreter for the deaf at Flint Grove Baptist Church. Patsy was a kind and loving lady who will be remembered for her dedication to her profession; where she served as an interpreter for the deaf for Gaston County Schools and Gaston College for many years. Patsy touched many lives through this gift, her compassion and smile always brightened your day. Patsy enjoyed hanging out with her grandchildren and often speaking fluent pig Latin with Vince and Myla. She was a loving mother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed!
Left to cherish her memories includes her daughters, Johnna Bullard and her son Vince; Susan Mershon and her daughter, Myla; and her ex husband, Ted Huggins.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, August 30th at Dallas Baptist Church with Reverend Barron Lee officiating. Interment will be private at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dallas Baptist Church, 402 West Trade Street, Dallas, NC 28034.
