Gastonia - Parmer Fred Rainwater, 80 passed away on October 21, 2017 at Courtland Terrace.
He was born in Dandridge, Tennessee on September 8, 1937 to the late Parmer and Alma Smelcer Rainwater. Fred was one of ten children, in addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters and brothers Ola, Ruby, Lee, Martha, Imogene, Roy and Prosser Rainwater.
Fred was a member of the Refuge Church. He retired from A & E with over 37 years of dedicated services. Fred loved to camp and enjoyed supporting the Tennessee Vols.
Left to cherish his memories includes his loving wife Debbie Collier Rainwater, they were together almost 38 years, his son Jeffrey Todd Rainwater; brothers Simon (Doris) Rainwater, Charles (Bobbie) Rainwater
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2017 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
