Dallas – Pamela "Pam" Smith Grooms, 57, of Indian Trail formerly from Dallas received her Glorious Healing on Friday, September 25, 2015.

Pam was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Born in Gaston County on August 8, 1958 to Clyde and Rachel Moore Smith. Pam's love of music from the age of four on the piano and chorus led her to play, teach and lead in church worship. Pam served as the Minister of Music at Salem Baptist Church until her death.

Pam is survived by her husband of 32 years, Donald Ray Grooms; daughters, Kathrine Sams (Johnny) of Salisbury; Katie Diane Steil (Gabe) of Charlotte; son, Christopher Grooms of Wilmington and one precious granddaughter, Rachel; parents, Clyde and Rachel Smith of Dallas
a very special sister, Patti White of Lincolnton; brother, Steve Smith of Morganton;

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, September 27th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia, NC.

Pam will lie in state one hour prior to the Funeral Service on Monday September 28th at 12 noon at Salem Baptist Church, 1982 Salem Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092 with Reverend Sammy Thomas officiating.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Grooms, Johnny Sams, Gabe Steil, Keith Kilpatrick, Jeffrey Moore and Timothy Moore.

Interment will follow at Hardin Community Baptist Church Cemetery Dallas
