Olivia Hodges Burton

Gastonia- Olivia Hodges Burton passed away on February 15 at Alexandria Place in Gastonia, NC at the age of 101. Mrs. Burton, born in 1911 was the daughter of Christopher Alexander Hodges and Martha Eugenia Biggers of Charlotte NC. She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin Edward Burton (Ned).
Born in Charlotte NC, Mrs. Burton attended Central High School and was a member of the Tabernacle ARP Church. After retirement from the Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company, she enjoyed spending time with brothers and sisters and her nieces and nephews. She later moved to the ARP Manor in Gastonia NC and joined the Providence ARP Church there. "Bebe" will be remembered as a loving aunt who generously shared her time, her baked goods and her needlework with her family.

She is survived by her nephew Christopher Hodges and his wife Terri, three nieces: Alton DuCharme, Harriet Jenkins, and Katherine Simpson, and a host of grandnieces and nephews.
