Gastonia – Oais Lee Kluttz Miller, 95 passed away peacefully on August 7, 2016 at her residence.
She was born in Salisbury on September 15, 1920 to the late John Robert and Maggie Florence Wilhelm Kluttz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Claude Frank Miller, her daughter Judy Sherrill, sisters Charlotte Dillon, Mary Hill and a brother Donald Kluttz.
Mrs. Miller was a member of First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping with her husband Claude and spending time with her family. She loved sewing, crafts and working in her flowers; her favorite was her orchids. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughter Ann Costner and husband Jim; son David Miller and wife Wanda all of Gastonia; son-in-law, John Sherrill; grandchildren Sandy Larson and husband Andy, Michele Howell and husband Jerry, Robert Miller and wife Danielle; Cameron Sherrill; her great grandchildren Dylan Howell, Aerial Howell, Jonam Larson and Allyn Miller; brother Bob Kluttz and a sister Gen Collins
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home prior to 11:00 graveside service at Gaston Memorial Park with Reverend C.B. Barr and Reverend Tripp Hord officiating.
