Cramerton- Norvelle Reese King, 90 of Abington Place, 1680 S. New Hope Rad, Gastonia formerly of Mayflower Street went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 4, 2011 Gaston Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Gaston County, born April 13, 1920 to the late Ed and Ethel Skidmore Reese
She was a member of Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church where she was a member of the Happy Hearts and the Senior Saints Sunday School Class.. She retired from textiles also worked at Gaston Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and mother-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents her husband Ralph Warren King who passed in 1985, a son Rev. Bob King;
a grandson Rev. Doug King and a great grandson Daniel Ballard;
her sisters, Evelyn, Edna, Bobbie and Pat; one brother, Broadus
Survivors include her son Ronald King and wife Sherry of Belmont; daughter, Mary Ann King of Cramerton and a daughter-in-law Joanne King of McAdenville
Grandchildren: Russell King and wife Michelle, Janet Ballard and husband Steve; Julie McKinstry and husband Jay; Jason Haithcock
Great Grandchildren, Logan, Riley, Emma, Lillie, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Seth and Rachel
Celebration of Life service will be 7:00pm, Monday, March 7, 2011 at Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Dwyer officiating
Family will receive friends 5:00 until 7:00 prior to the service at the church
Interment will be on 11:00amTuesday, March 8 at Gaston Memorial Park with the Releasing of the Doves
