Kings Mtn – Norma Gay Walker, 62, passed away on November 19, 2015 at her residence.
She was born in Lincoln County on March 31, 1953 to the late Carl G. and Vinnie Kirkland Grant
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Felesa Gay Walker and brother Carl G. Grant, Jr.
Norma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly! She worked at Pharr Yarns with 20 years of service. Norma was an avid gardener and loved playing her organ.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Garry Walker; son, Michael Grant and wife Deidre; daughter, Rita Michelle Walker; sisters; Barbara Cantrell and husband Eddie; Elizabeth Grant
4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 23rd from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia, NC
A Celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 24th at South Gastonia Church of God, 310 Carolina Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28052 with Reverend Bobby L. Gilley officiating.
Interment will follow at Evergreen "A Quiet Place" with the releasing of the doves
