Norma Ruth Hobbs Moore

Norma Ruth Hobbs Moore, 85, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024 in Kernersville, North Carolina with her loving family by her side. 

She was born in Guilford County on January 16, 1939 to the late Bernie Edward Hobbs and Alma Mae Markland Hobbs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Donald Moore; son, Charles Norman Moore; siblings, Billy Dayton Hobbs and Lena Mae Morton. 

She was a devoted member of New Life Baptist Church and Hellfighters biker ministries and she truly loved her church family. She enjoyed eating and cooking for everyone. Norma loved to visit her family in Kernersville to catch up and spend time with them and her friends. She also loved her sweet furbaby, Tiny. 

She is survived by her brother, George Edward Hobbs (Helen); grandchildren, Indya Bennett and Ash Pokojski; great-grandchild, Mason Bennett; nieces, Tracie Maner and Christie Parker; and her nephews, Lee Gilchrist and Allen Gilchrist. 

Family and friends will gather for visitation Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home. Following the visitation everyone is invited to meet for a graveside service at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Allen Foreman officiating, at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, 1508 Charles Raper Jonas Highway, Mount Holly, North Carolina 28120. 

Pallbearers will be, Lee Gilchrist, Mark Spry, Phil Maner, Austin Maner, and Keith Parker.
