Gastonia – Nellie Leona Davis Huffman, 85 passed away peacefully on October 4, 2019 at Stanley Total Living.
She was born in Gaston County on November 9, 1933 to the late Samuel and Ethel Kinley Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Randy and Danny Huffman, Linda Childers and son in law, Richard Childers and a sister, Barbara Duvall.
Nell was a member of Gastonia Church of God. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
Survivors include her beloved son Steve (Rosie) Huffman; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Wayne (Sharon) Davis; her sisters, Betty Barnett and Louise Atchley; a number of nieces and nephews.
The Quite hour for family will be from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 9th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be follow at 2:00 p.m. at Gaston Memorial Park, Hillcrest section.
