Ned Bryan Featherstone

Ned Bryan Featherstone, 86, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, Charlotte with his loving family by his side. He was a native of Mecklenburg County and was the son of the late Nealie Bryan and Julia Knight Featherstone. Mr. Featherstone retired after 44 years service with Bell South Company and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Lutheran Church of the Holy Comforter, Belmont. Mr. Featherstone is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Rebecca Bess Featherstone; son, Jeff Featherstone and wife Deborah (Charlotte); daughter, Julia Ann Featherstone (Charlotte); two sisters, Jacqueline Taylor (Charlotte), Doris Wilson (Belmont); three grandchildren, Josh Featherstone (Kristy), Alex Featherstone, Matt Featherstone; two great grandchildren, Logan Featherstone, Collin Featherstone. A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Comforter, 216 North Main Street, Belmont with Pastor Micah Kearney officiating. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the services. Inurnment will be private and at a later date.
