Dallas- Ned H. Bradshaw, 82, passed away July 26, 2010 at Robin Johnson House.
He was a native of Gaston County, born August 2, 1927 to the late Augustus and Eva Stroupe Bradshaw. He is preceded in death by his parents, a loving wife, Francis Rebecca Brown, brother, Ronald S. Bradshaw.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Philippines during World War II. Ned and his wife Frances owned and operated The Village Shop for many years in downtown Dallas. Later in life, Ned worked for and retired from Spencer-Pettus Machine Company, owned by his brother-in-law, Mr. Joseph Brown. He was a life-long Christian, baptized in 1939 at Flint-Groves Baptist by Pastor B.F. Austin. At the time of his death, Ned was a member of First United Methodist Church, Dallas.
Survivors include his daughter, Catherine Bradshaw Turner, grand-daughters Susan and Beth Turner, grandson Travis Turner, great-grandson Charles Turner, brother Grier A. Bradshaw.
Services for Mr. Bradshaw are private.
