Dallas – Nancy Lineberger Finger, 75,of Dallas passed away peacefully on May 7, 2014 at Summit Place of Kings Mountain surrounded by her loving family..
She was born in Gaston County, NC, on May 30, 1938 to the late Ray Austell and Jennie Maye Beam Lineberger.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Paul Alton Finger, Jr.
She attended Dallas Baptist Church and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Dallas. She loved her family and friends. Nancy was a graduate of Sacred Heart College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and worked in Gaston County where she gave over 30 years of service. She Worked at Belks and at Peedin (Arlington) as secretary, while attending Sacred Heart, graduated with a BA in Primary Education. She Taught school at Flint Groves and Clay Street,
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn McAbee and Angel Thomas;
Grandchildren, Amanda Todd, Rhonda Francum and Angela Edwards; 2 step grandsons, Chris and Joe McAbee; 13 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great great grandchildren.
Sister-in-law: Marilyn Finger, widow of brother-in-law Robert A. Finger, Brothers and Sister
Sister, Sally and Doug Terres, Brothers and Sister-in-law, John Rhyne and Margie Finger, Jimmy and Marie Finger
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm, Friday, May 9th at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 531 Hardin Road, Dallas, NC.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held following the visitation at 2:00 pm, with Reverend Jonathan A. Schnibben officiating.
Interment will be immediately following service in the church cemetery.
