Gastonia-Mildred Lucille McVickers Weaver, 76 of Gastonia passed away peacefully on November 9, 2012.
She was a native of Gaston County, born September 3, 1936 to the late Albert and Lillian Black McVickers.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 57 years, Teddy Delano Weaver, Sr.
She was a devoted wife and a loving mother to 5 children. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Teresa Buckley (Denver), Debbie Noah (Johnny), Pamela 'Penny' Weaver, Pat Snyder (Richard) and Teddy Weaver, Jr. (Tina) and special sisters-in-law, Gladys Lail and Faye Smrz.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:30pm prior to the service at the funeral home
A life celebration service will be held 3:30pm Sunday, November 11 in the Chapel of Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Rev. Dickie Spargo and Rev. Dale Lawing officiating.
Interment will follow at Westview Gardens Bessemer City with the releasing of the doves. The family would like to thank the staff of Robin Johnson House and Gaston Memorial Hospital for the tender care she received.
