Gastonia – Mildred Louise Price McMahan, 93 passed away peacefully on March 30, 2017 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Mildred was born in Gaston County, March 3, 1924 to the late Spurgin and Effie Baker Price. She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley McMahan, Jr., a son Vaugh McMahan, brother, Truett Price and sisters Ivie Scruggs and Ruby Wright, grandsons Gerald Louis McMahan and Wesley Michael McMahan.
She was a Homemaker and loved her grand children very much. She opened her home to everyone and was a mother to the neighborhood. She was known for making the best macaroni and cheese in the world. She was a member of Flint Groves Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memories is her sons Tony McMahan and wife Dorothy, Bruce McMahan and wife Linda, Louis McMahan and wife Sandra, daughter in law Becky McMahan, brothers Norman Price and wife Betty, Kenneth Price and wife Mancy, sister Jeanette Formica, nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 2nd at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of life service 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 3rd at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park in Masonic 1A section with the releasing of the doves.
