Kings Mt., - Michael Steven "Mike" Holifield, 65, passed away on December 18, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland County.
He was born in Piggott, Arkansas on October 24, 1953 to the late Fred and Bobby Crawford Holifield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Kasen Holifield, his mother and father-in-law, Irma and Harry Scurlock, Sr., and his godson, Joe Scurlock.
He loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and gardening. Mike was a self-employed mechanic. Left to cherish his memories includes his wife of 46 years, Jackie Scurlock Holifield; his children, Stacy Kirk (Chad), Peggy Barker (Ray), Steve Holifield (Angie), Mark Holifield (Nica), Kevin Holifield (Tara); grandchildren; Heather Ware, Hollie Ware, Hayleigh Ware, Hannah Ware, Harper Ware, Wynter Barker, Patrick Barker, III, Eli Barker, Jessie Holifield, Charlie Holifield, Dakota Holifield, Luke Holifield, Braden Holifield, Cooper Kirk, Jordan Holifield, Caitlin Holifield, Kyandre Holifield, Emily Holifield, Kyahnte Holifield, Kyaunye Holifield and Kasen Holifield; great grandchildren; Rylan Smoot and Kyng Holifield; brothers, Dennis and David Holifield; and his beloved fur babies, Maddie, Molly, Lucky and Missy.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 21st at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22nd in the Chapel at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Evergreen "A Quiet Place" with the Releasing of the Doves.
