He was born in Gaston County on October 21, 1975 to Rosa Irene Carr Hagans and the late Michael Brown Hagans.
Michael known to many as "Nutter" loved his children and family; enjoyed spending time gardening and farming. He was very outgoing, made friends easily and never met a stranger. He enjoyed working on boats since he was a teenager and later worked as a Marine Technician for many years.
Left to cherish his memories include his mother Rosa Eplin and husband Jimmy; son Michael Devan Hagans; daughter Sage Lily DiPietro, his girlfriend of many years, Pilar DiPietro; Sister Linda Kay Hagans and husband Jerry Bell and their children, Jerry Lee Bell, Jr., and Josie Mae Bell
A Celebration of Life service will be 6:00 pm, Friday, August 21st at Providence Place Church, 4007 York Highway, Gastonia, NC 28052 with Bishop Ron Duncan officiating
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 pm prior to the service
Pallbearers will be Darrell Hagans, Shane (Shot) Kelly, David (Pork) Dixon, Jason (Wink) Dixon, Jerry Bell and Cookie Thompson
