Michael Randy Baucom

Michael Randy Baucom, 69, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, at his residence with his loving wife by his side. 

 He was born in Gaston County, North Carolina, on August 8, 1955, to the late Armond and Blanche Baucom. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie Baucom and Mark Baucom; and his nephew, Chris Matthews. 

 Mike had a passion for playing music and played in several local bands. After 32 years of dedicated work, he retired from Freightliner in Mount Holly. He also enjoyed riding Harley Davidsons and vacationing at the beach. Most of all, Mike loved his family. He will always be remembered for the many happy memories he made with everyone who knew and loved him.

 Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 18 years, Donna Baucom; step-son, Adam Wilson (Amy); sister, Judy Matthews; and several nieces and nephews. 

 Family and friends will gather from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and a Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor David MacEachern officiating.  

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring (Gaston Hospice) 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
