McClaron Jr Chaney

' McClaron 'Junior' Chaney Jr., 80 of 2328 Pineville Court, went to be with the Lord on Friday January 11, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Gaston County NC, born August 2, 1932 to the late McClaron and Ida Hinson Chaney, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers and sisters Fred Chaney, Dewey Chaney, Ralph Chaney, Justin Chaney, Leroy Chaney, Irene Chaney and Glenn Chaney.
He retired from Wix with over 46 years of service; he served two years in the US Army as a Corporal.
Junior was a born again Christian all his life and a member of First Assembly of God Church Gastonia. He taught Sunday school over 30 years and was a Sunday school superintendent at various times and taught special Bible Studies throughout his years.
Survivors include wife of 58 years Ruth Mason
daughter Robin Chaney Culbertson, and husband Alvin.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Saturday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
