Gastonia – Maxine Fine Ledford, 73 passed away peacefully on January 22, 2018 at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation Gastonia with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Tennessee on January 25, 1944, the daughter of the late George and Ruby Strange Fine. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Ann Spirlin; sister, Regina Smith, brothers, George Steve Fine and Raymond Fine
Maxine enjoyed making and collecting porcelain dolls. She enjoyed and loved all her dogs. Maxine retired from textiles and later sewing. She was a loving and caring woman who loved her family! She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her!
Left to cherish her memories includes her loving husband of 56 years, Carmel Dean Ledford; her beloved granddaughter, Tina Massey and husband Scott and their daughter Tristen;
sisters; Carolyn Mull, Brenda Lollis and Julia Bertholf.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Josh Fail and Reverend Charles Curtis officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, with the releasing of the doves.
