Bessemer City-Matthew Boyd Putnam, 31, passed away April 11, 2010 at his residence.
He was born January 18, 1979 in Gaston County, son of Peggy Boone Putnam and the late Herman Putnam
He was preceded in death by his father and grandfather, Boyd Boone
Matt worked at R & H Superette for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 7 years, Amber Walker Putnam
his children: Carly, Jackson and Nikolas Putnam of the home;
his mother, Peggy Boone Putnam
grandmother, Clara 'Sue' Boone
a brother, Joe Putnam and wife Kelly;
and a sister, Tracie Putnam Anderson and husband Scott;
nieces and nephew: Jessica Anderson Bane, Andrea Anderson, Megan Anderson, Josie Putnam and Cooper Bane
Special friend, John Hill
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Rev. Dickie Whitener
Family will receive friends 4:30 until 6:00 pm prior to the service
